Mid-Winter Reset

Saturday 24th January | 12:45pm - 5:30pm 

The Oak House Studio, Hatfield House, Hatfield

​Come and join me for a half day retreat of yoga, breathwork, relaxation and a heavenly sound bath. Immerse yourself in the soothing sounds and vibrations to help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, promoting deep relaxation and emotional release to quiet the mind.

At the end of January, many of us feel drained by short days and cold weather.  Energy dips, motivation wavers, and we find ourselves craving warmth and light.

​

A retreat at this time of year allows you to restore your motivation and energy through nourishing movement, breath and stillness - the perfect reset after mid-winter sluggishness and slowdown.

What to Expect

Beginning our afternoon with a Dynamic Hatha Flow practice to encourage inner heat and movement at a time when many feel low-energy or stagnant. Combining energetic poses and sun salutations which flow together in a sequence of postures, including stillness and breath awareness.  Finishing off with a guided relaxation using a technique called progressive muscle relaxation, encouraging you to consciously release physical tension and restore balance.

We will then break for warming teas, pastries and homemade cakes, giving you the chance to connect with others or take a nature walk in beautiful surroundings.

Our next session will comprise of Yin yoga and Pranayama. Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga incorporating principles of Chinese medicine. It encourages energy flow through stimulation and helps to diminish blockages. Pranayama improves lung function and oxygen flow through deep conscious breathing and breath control, helping to improve focus and enhance vitality.

From here we will flow straight into a soothing sound bath. Allow the sound vibrations to wash over you, guiding you into a place of serenity, stillness, and healing. Let go of everything; this time is just for you.
